Great place to camp if you're not gonna do anything lol
Great place if all you want to do is camp. Fishing is below average for a Texas park. Banks are super shallow and full of algae and weeds which makes bottom fishing impossible and top fishing just frustrating. On the other hand, if you have a boat or rent one, fishing is fantastic. Bugs are abundant during the summer mixed with low wind and scalding heat. I would not suggest taking your little ones.
Not a bad place to good fishing. Big lake, but usually low water level. Lots of gar and small to médium bass, a gator every now and then.
We enjoyed our stay here. It was difficult to find a place to pitch our tent because of all of the ants though. Little ants made their way in to our tent by day two
It was a nice park. Cell signal was almost non existent for all of us. But that's what made it great. Being able to enjoy time with friends and family without distractions.
